Where is the hazard flasher unit located? I have found the indicator flasher ( under glove box ) but cannot see the one for the hazards.
when I turn on the hazard switch, the red light comes on...but no click click or flash flash.

Matthew, look on the vertical panel behind the radio console.

Well, I went and had a good look without pulling anything apart....no site of it.
So...I thought I'd try what has worked on my Midget switches. I sprayed some electrical cleaner in around the gaps of the Hazard switch and worked it back and forth. I eventually got them to work! The unit is definately in behind the radio.
Oddly, when it started to work, only the left side would flash....several seconds later the right would join in. All good now.
