I ordered a new switch and this is what I got.Note that posts are number 1-8 and 5 + 6 are not there. The second photo is the MGC schematic I extracted from the large MGB/MGB pages of schematics.

The schematics show only 6 posts numbered 1-6.

Which post is 5 and which one is 6 one the actual switch? 5=7 6=8 ?

Moss claims the same switch is used for midget B, C and sprite.

The last photo is from the MGC work shop manual.

37H2679 is the correct MGC part number and only 6 terminals. I stock this correct part.

My switch also has only 6 terminals and appears to be the same configuration as yours, unlike the one in the car that is marked up one side 1 2 3 and on the other side 4 5 6. So if you get out a magnifying glass and a bright light, the older I get the more light I require, and read the numbers on the back side of your switch are they number 1 2 3 4 7 8 or 1 2 3 4 5 6 ?

Robert pm me with the price and your answer.
