They rub in hard cornering with just me in the car and any cornering with a passenger.

I'm thinking about putting on a set of rostyles (with new tires) just to see if they rub.

Obviously nobody wants to see rostyles on a pull handle but I'm willing to sacrifice for the experiment.

Most aftermarket wheels are available in a variety of offsets/back spacing. Best would be to remove the wheel and measure.

http://www.4wheelparts.com/tire-wheel-package-guide/wheel-offset-backspacing.aspx

MGB's usually need a wheel with positive 24mm offset (approx 1"winking smiley. Note that offset is not the same as back spacing.

If those are 15" they will rub unless you roll up the inner wheel arch lip. Usually worse on one side of the car as opposed to the other side. !5" on an MGB are NOT Good. Car was designed for 14"

They could use a refresh Jack. It's on the list for next weekend. But I still think the wheels may be pushed out a little.

These aren't my favorite wheels anyway and I'm really wanting to move up to 15 inch wheels. Maybe I'll use this as an excuse.

Wilco Jack.

I'd also like to see about getting some of those rear shock mounts.

I could be wrong, but they likely worked witb the overall diameter. Some 15 incb tire/wheel combos are a smaller diameter than stock.

You are right: MGC used 15" STOCK type wheels. The 15" MINI Lite or after market wheels rub. PERIOD. ....... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO either go back to stock, trade those off for difFerent ones or "ROLL THE LIP BACK" UNDER. PERFECT TIME IS IF YOU ARE RE=PAINTING. I did not SAY MAKE FENDER FLAIRS. Rolling the lip back up does NOT change the original shape of the wheel well

GRRRRR!!! So many CAPS! So much anger!!

I'm just asking if anyone knew what the offset is on these pretty standard looking mini-lites.

I have an MGC/GT with center lock mini-lites. Yes they rub but that has more to do with the tire size (195/60/15) than the fact that they're mini-lites. Obviously the PO was pretty aggressive with tire size.

I also know about rolling the lip as it was done to fit some very nice 14 inch American Racing "Cosmics" on my 74B.

I also know that with proper selection of wheel and tire combination a 15 inch wheel works very well on a B without rolling the lip.

But again, my question was specifically about this wheel.
