Advance Auto Wire has great wiring diagrams for the MGB but does not have diagrams for the Midget. I have a friend with a 69 or 70 Midget doing some minor electrical repairs. Searching the archives I found a black and white diagram that will do the job but a color one like the Advance Auto Wire schematics would be great. Anyone know of a source?

Thanks,
BH

BH,

You may find this info helpful in the meantime. It is applicable to many/most British cars of the era...

brown wire = always hot
white = switched (by ign. switch) but not fused
purple = always hot but fused
green = switched (by ign. switch) and fused
red = switched by headlight switch and fused
Black = ground/earth

I'd take the wiring diagram from the same year MGB and use that. The Lucas codes didn't change from year to year and were common across lines.

If nothing else, it would get you very close.
