She's runs nicely still on points, overdrive works well and mechanicals seem decent
Slowly winning the rust battle and loving the transformation, can't wait to drive her again

Just the 227th MGB assembled in Australia. Nice to see it's still around. How far are you going to go in your pursuit of originality? Nice to have overdrive even if it didn't appear on the Australian cars till '68.

Hi Tom, Thanks for your feedback as it's nice to hear from someone with a similar car even though if I'm not in your league.Yeh, I was pretty excited when I found out I had 227 and I'd like to find out more about the car's history so will contact the old owner one day and try to find out what I can, happy to say I think I have many original parts still but practically everything needs refurbishing. As far as going back to original as possible is concerned I have put on a couple of reproductions like inertia starter motor, 25D dizzy, points etc to get the car running well but will hunt down new old stock or rebferbished originals once the car is back on the road, and I'm only puttng on period correct wherever possible (radio speakers I've pulled out) so it's a bit of a journey at this stage. I'm considering going back to Twin 6 Volt Batteries and Positive Earth but not sure. Paint I haven't finalised what I'm doing there, originally it is stamped as Nurburg White but one of the paint books I read said it would
