“Betty OEW”
Owned by the second family since 1960. I'm owner #3. This vehicle is all original. Engine unmolested w/ all original wiring, lines and electrics. Although not running, engine turns. Have original top and side curtains but needs attention. Rodents have resided for many years. But still great candidate for restoration.
Purchased 8/17
(Car History: Built 4/3 to 4/5 of 1958, Delivery to USA on 4/15/58) Thanks Gio!

Began disassembly. Rust in the usual areas: dog legs and some B pillar repair/replace needed. Complete interior replacement required. Black leather w/ white piping. Fenders, doors, dash, floor boards, bonnet, boot, bumpers removed and in good condition. All gauges are original and in very good condition. Will be sent to be cleaned, calibrated. Need new wiring due to mouse motel.
Working towards disassembly of frame from shell:
Removed radiator, fuel tank, wire harness, heater box, master cylinder etc. Need to disconnect the last of the metal lines and body bolts in preparation for final body separation. Then the real fun begins!
Body off frame now. Awaiting B pillar and sill repair/replace and any other "surprises" by year's end. Then some minor body work to smooth out things and get it blasted, primed and painted back to original color of OEW. R/R original radiator and ready for install whenever. Begin disassembling everything on frame to bare for minor attention before sending out to be power-coated in early January.
Body sent to friend in MG club for B pillars, sills, and radiator duct replacement. All other lower body components solid.
Sent frame and tunnel to be sand blasted and powder-coated.
Also sent body to be blasted after new body parts were replaced. Body is now at body/paint shop to do some fine body work on fenders, doors, bonnet, boot, valance.
Frame is back in garage waiting for the diff and other F/R suspension parts to be blasted/powder-coated and/or new parts to order. Want to get the frame on "wheels".
Ordered new F/R dampeners from World Wide. Got the splash guards back from blasting. Rear front splash guards too bad to salvaged, new to be ordered.
Began reassembling the front suspension. Poly bush upgrades, A Arms set up for sway bar mod, WW dampers, new rack/pinion. Begun to reassemble the freshly powder coated diff. replace all seals, bearings and will change diff innards from 4.3 to 3.9 before getting the rear suspension reassembled.
