This car was in good shape when I got it 16 years ago, just before my last year of high school. A new battery, new points in the fuel pump, some fresh gas and a few other things done by a great mechanic to a MGB that hadn't ran in a few years and it was back on the road a month after I purchased it. The car, originally aqua is now red. I've put a lot of time and money into this car!! The car runs great for a MGB that has it's original engine. The engine has a weber carburetor, I had it installed years ago but I still have the original SU carbuetors in a box. The engine could use a some tidying up - painting the engine bay & replacing a few chrome parts and it would help complete the car. The top is fairly new, I had it put on in October 2012. This MGB has new chrome wire wheels from Moss Motors and I took the wheels to Hendrick Wire Wheels to have them mounted to new tires - the ride is incredibly smooth! I still have the painted wire wheels. To list a few other items, the car has:
*new front shocks - put on this summer 2014
*fairly new clutch master cylinder
*fairly new new value cover gasket
*fairly new new emergency brake cable
*front and back bumpers were recently re-chromed
*fairly new new tire rod ends
*fairly new new steering rack boots
*fairly new new radio

The items above listed as "fairly new" were replaced in the past year - 2013 or late 2012. The car's last paint job was in late 2000. I have two new lower side dogleg panels, purchased in October 2014 during a road trip to Moss Motors in Petersburg, as the car will eventually need them replaced. The car has a small dent/crease in the driver's side panel (see photos) just before the door from an accident of the door getting caught on the carport pole back in 2004. Over the winter, the master brake cylinder has been leaking, so I'm currently working to replace it. And last, I've kept a binder full of receipts of car parts purchased over the last 16 years - but, who's counting dollars when you own a MG!!

Hi, Wanted to see if your MGB was still for sale? If so, how many miles? I am in Virginia Beach and would be interested in seeing the vehicle if available. Thank you.

Hi Eric, Yes, my MGB is still for sale! I will check the mileage on the car this evening when I'm back home. If I remember correctly, looking at the little inspection slips, I know the speedometer has tripped at least once. With you being in Virginia Beach, I'm assuming you would want to visit on a Sat. or Sunday? Thanks for the inquiry!- Reggie

Hi Fred... I haven't sold it. Looking at your comment & Paul's, I need to remove the for sale tag from my MGB, I'm going to keep it. I do plan to put my MGA up for sale in the near future.
