In October, I attended the Annual General Meeting of NAMGBR which was held in Gettysburg.

This is a fantastic venue....it's going to be a great event, especially if you love American history....and MGs!

Jean and I are already registered for the event, and have our room booked at the Wyndham.

yes a beautiful part of the country, start now by making reservations and plan to stay a few extra days to tour the area.

I'm thinking about a slow trip from NC to PA using twisty back roads along the Blue Ridge Pwy and Skyline drive

Anyone interested can message and will make it an adventure

I just tried to register for the Guest Hotel, and the message is there are no rooms available for those dates. Is the Hotel filled already, I was only # 96.

You have to register for the event before you can get a hotel room at the contracted price.

After you register for the event, you will receive a confirmation e-mail...that contains a link to the hotel site.

Be sure to use the little calendar icon found within to confirm the correct date of arrival/departure.

It would surprise me that the Wyndham is completely filled at this time....

Okay let me explain what happened. I did register for the event first. But the link for the Hotel had a glitch! Richard Liddick contacted the Hotel and it is now working again. I am somewhat computer illiterate, but not that bad. I am now registered and the hotel is booked.
Thanks ...Ken

Gettysburg is and should be on everyone's bucket list. The history alone is worth the trip. Adding in a bunch of MG's just makes it better. We are getting a lot of early registrations making me think we'll have a very large show. Don't delay, if you are going you should make the commitment and register. Cheers,

Looking at the schedule, I find no speed event. No autox, gymkhana, no need for roll bars, helmets, fire bottle, only valve cover racing....

OK, since I have mostly retired from competition.....

Insurance for "speed events" is becoming somewhat unrealistic.

These events are NOT covered under the standard policy that NAMGBR nor the MG Council maintains.

For one of the events that we had at BritishV8, I had to source insurance coverage through Wells Fargo....at a little over USD $4k for the day. This covered both the autocross and the track event.
