I've had these a while, in fact I used to race my Jaguar 420 on them, and I've got five of them all in good condition. It says "Magna" on them, but they feel much too heavy to be magnesium. If they are magnesium, they are the heaviest magnesium wheels in the world! I'm wondering if I should fit them.

Alternatively I could use the Daisy Wheels, 4J on the front, 7J on the back!

Or you could just chuck them in the post to me, ill take them off your hands. And help you clear out that garage....smiling bouncing smiley

They are a bit too wide for under those std arches, the JAPs

I think these will just about fit. The track rod-end just rubs, but I should be able to sort that. I've had these for 25 years at least,if I remember right they came as part of some deal or other, but what are they worth now? I have 5 wheels.

Hi Peter

I have a set of JAPs on my car which have aluminium three eared spinners on splined hubs wire wheel fixture, my car only came with four wheels I have the invoice for these in the file and they were around £400 for a set of 4 in 1974 , almost 1/3 the price of the car !
I have no idea of the value I have not seen any for sale in the past few years I would keep them if I were you they look good on MGC s

Regards
Robert

Robert,

They look very nice indeed. What width are they, and are the tyres 185/70/15 ?

Hi Peter

The tyres are 185/70 R15 and the wheels are 6" wide , the rear wheel arches have been flared for clearance but on the front end there are no clearance problems.

Regards
Robert

I've have some of these, also ex-race. These are not quite as wide at 6", and are definitely aluminium alloy. I can't decide which suits the car best.
