TD with an alternator but what about the tach drive?

You shell out the big money and buy one with a tach drive. They are made.

Needn't be expensive either - I paid around £100 for mine and its in a dynamo case, so looks standard.

I have one, but the tach drive threads on the dynamo case are slightly too large diameter and the cable won't thread on but partially.
