Does the Stromberg Cd150 needle valve have a spring in it or does the fuel pressure hold it open? Mine was stuck open after the winter parking. I've cleanded it and It now opens and closes easily but wasn't sure if there was a spring in it to hold it open.

Did a search for an answer but couldn't find out this particular bit of information.

Thanks

No spring (far has i know). Gravity makes it fall open. The tabs on the float make it rise shutting the fuel off. Once enough gas leaves the bowl it drops again more comes in. Rinse and repeat.

If you never try to do it You will never be able to do it
