1965 MG Midget "Gidget"
My buddy and I painted Gidget this weekend. I have a few pictures to share... waiting for the clear to cure before color sanding.

The color is matched to a sample of original paint that hadn’t faded. It came out great.

That looks awesome . You should be really proud of the way that came out. Keep posting pics as you put it back together. Mine could use a fresh coat of paint as well but not going to happen just going to drive it like it is.

I've kept a blog of my journey... http://midget.strublic.net. I've been working on this for a long time. I am still not used to the car being an actual color!

I love this. Excellent work! Did your wheels have to be blasted or burnished for the paint to stick?

I sanded the wheels with 800 grit to give the paint something to grab onto. Three coats, and three coats of clear.

I spent a few minutes going through your blog, especially the starting points - you had a decent amount of rust and shotty repairs to fix, nicely done!
