Getting ready for start up...and...nutz...the BOSCH Oil Filter does not fit. The threads are right...but there is a recess in the filter so the length of the filter housing "screw" seems too short.

Please, can someone give me a good part number for this engine/filter?

I was ready for oil pressure this morning!!

Ed, I use a Mobil 1 M1-102 (now 102A). Also K&N HP1002 or Napa 1034 work. (this is for a 1275).

Ed, I had the same problem last summer, 1275 car on the rack at a friends house. I ended up grabbing every type listed for my car at the local O'reilly's and comparing the way the tops were designed. The recess was concave on their house brand and a few others off the shelf. In the end, like Jack, I went with the more expensive Mobil 1. Funny how the subtle dip in the top keeps the threaded tube from getting any bite on three out of four choices.
