I'm finally at the point of putting these fillers on my car. I have them bolted on to test the alignment but plan on removing paint, scuffing the surfaces, and epoxying them on, but I'm trying to figure out the blending situation. I don't want to use fiberglass. Would some short strand filler be sufficient in this case? It's a little too big of an area just for bondo.

I used poly resin & chopmat initially then the bondo. Without a matrix you'll get cracking

That's exactly what I was thinking about. I've used it before and like its waterproof-mess. The fiberglass in it should help against cracking.

I'm working on the same project. I've been building out the fillers a little, making them wider along the bottom, with more fiberglass and matting to get a better body contour fit. I hate putting more body filler in a car than is absolutely necessary. Thanks for the marglass idea, a great product. I had forgotten all about that one.

I'm going to rethink that and make my own Mar-glass. I have the fiberglass matting and Bondo. It's basically shredded fibers of matting and body filler mixed.

Ironically, I made these filler pieces for people who need them but was not done on mine until today;

Just found this forum! I have a 79 Midget that needs some work, and the bumpers are going to go. Do you have any more of those filler pieces available?

Chad,

First, welcome to the madness. I am sure you will be busy working on your car soon.

I do have the mold and do sell these still if there are buyers for them.

If you want to buy a pair, send me PM and we will go from there.

Thanks,
Mike
