In reply to # 3734467 by JustinSchroder By the way, I just realized (Realised?) that my post is in the 'Midget' category instead of the 'B'. Sorry for the cause of any cringing!

Sorry if we lose you Justin,

A series engine, B series engine but same badge on the front, where's the harm.
No need to apologise just enjoy your car.

All the best Johnny

Right on.

Installed miss matched seats - slider on driver side and Bugeye non adjustable on passenger.
Gotta mount Front ARB this weekend & put on floor ( off jackstands ) and fire up

Yessir. The left headlight pod is the air intake for the carbs. Right side is closed.

In reply to # 3734341 by refisk Drove my right hand drive car in anger for the first time last weekend. It was easier than I expected, but then I used the whole road. grinning smiley

Really cool, Rick! Say, do you use one of your headlight pods as a scoop to feed cool air to the intake?

Picked up the remachined engine, head, crank yesterday, cam due Tuesday. Glad I took apart, needed attention. Feels like progress smiling smiley. In the last month have been cleaning things, car was a recent pruchase so lots to tidy up, great fun while listening to favorite tunes. Tomorrow will fit the rings, start engine assembly next week. Ran a new gasline, waiting on new sender to install tank as provided the incorrect one, need the ring type not bolt type.
Thanks to previous posts by folks on bumper changeover, much appreciated.
New interior purchased, will fit after engine back in, changing to black, car has the harvest gold?, not torn but faded driver seat otherwise was fine.
Wife says don’t go too fast as what will you do when done? ...lol...

Cheers, Jack

Sounds like your having fun Jack! I spent 2 years getting my '61 back to OEM. Lots of fun chasing down the parts needed. All that's needed now is a little body work and fresh paint. Love these little cars! Have fun Bud!

Thanks Chuck,
Yes great fun. Fortunately my car body is not rusty, still original paint and polished up nicely. I worked in the auto industry so spent a great deal of time in Michigan, will have to look up Iron Mountain, don't recall where that is. smiling smiley)

Today’s project is installing front anti roll bar ( FARB ). In the 90s I was able to buy Fr and Rear direct from Addco when I was in the auto parts business.
20 + years later I have lost one bushing for the front (rear installed way back then). So it’s clean the mud and funk from the threads then measure out all hardware and fly to the local Orchard Hardware where they have quite a bit of GR8 fine thread and SAE stuff.
