Perhaps you would prefer the Lincoln Lowrider on the other side...

No I think that the pick up background is perfect smiling smiley

Alongside this nice TR-3 would have been my first choice but already taken.

Hello All,
Its that time again.
Over the past few days, i have taken my friend out of her winter hibernation.

I have put on the summer wheels, checked: battery, coolant, oil, and dash-pot.

All looks good. Added gas and she started right up. smileys with beer

Today, I removed the entire exhaust, intake, and carb, and installed a Weber carb, pressure regulator, and an exhaust header. Started around 8:30-9, and had the car started right about 5pm. I took a few trips to the FLAPS as well as the plumbing supply (brass barbs and such) during that time. I'm proud of accomplishing all of that in a day.

Oh, and I forgot to mention: We were expecting (and got) some light rain nearly all day, so I spent from 10am on with a tarp over most of the car and most of my work area. Kept me dry, but some of my tool kit not so much.

I'm with Johnny - that's an amazing amount of work for one day. I hope to get some wrenching in this weekend, gawd willin' and crick don't rise...

Last fall/winter while undergoing radiation treatments, 43 daily blasts, I drove my Midget to the oncologist. I bundled up with ski cap and heavy gloves for the daily commute. A chilly, top-down drive every morning was exhilarating and shall I say, it took the edge off an otherwise somber time for personal “rust removal”. Fast forward to today, I’m happy to say that both the MG and myself are now rust-free.

Best of luck on your Chemo, Michael, and bring a Moss or VB catalog with you and you may even find the time passing by much quicker.

I like the cut of your job Don,

Chilly weather topless, is always an adventure worth doing and with your unwanted extras an even better feat of achievement.

Glad you are now rust free and look forward to Mike announcing the same.

Take care guys and enjoy the adventures of the road.

All the best Johnny

On my last day of radiation, the December temps had dropped to 28F, so we really bundled up, and for added goof-ball value, I wore my 1990’s vintage Dead Alien Rabbit snowboarder ski mask. I kinda liked the idea of big goofy ears flappin’ in the breeze. My wife was concerned that we’d be pulled over for either DUI candidate or bank robbers...

Friday the 13th (of April) and it’s 75 degrees in Ohio. Couldn’t resist taking Opus out of storage today and getting him back in the garage for a start-of-the-season oil change, etc. Never realized that backing out of storage included several blocks around my neighborhood smiling smiley

Too bad we’re going to dip back into the upper 40s again next week (sigh).
