1962 MG MGA MkII "Jane"
After spending the winter on and off the lift and rebuilding front suspension, brakes and various other systems to make her road ready, I was checking the brakes (just because) after my first road trip and found the pictured part on the shop floor. While I do not believe that it comes from the car, I thought it might be prudent to ask the group if they can identify. To me it looks like a reversing pawl for a ratchet drive although larger than any thing I have.
It measures about 5/8" x 1/2" and 1/4"thick.

Thanks I advance,

Tom

Feeling like an idiot. Found the offending ratchet with a missing part. Long time ago - forgot - getting old like my car!
