This is a bit of an experiment. I'm taking an old MGB console and adapting it to fit under the MGA's armrest to give me some storage, with a cup holder where the ashtray used to be. Once covered, it will hinge from the back, the armrest covers the entire console, but also slides back to just reveal the cupholder.

Pics for far. Next stop covering the console in as best a match I can find for the armrest.

Thanks Gary, I’ve seen a few variations on the theme. I’m trying to hide it away when not in use - a ‘stealth’ option if you like. With most of my mods the aim is to pass the first glance test - trying to retain the standard look if I can.

And mine. A roll of Gorilla tape. The edge is a bit stickey so it stays put. Stole the idea from Barney’s site.

That’s certainly stealthy!
