In reply to # 3679826 by Mat.MK2 Welcome --- I see your serial number is merely 14 past mine (mine 519 - yours 533). My certificate of origin reports that 519 was completed on Thursday, Dec 7th 1961.

Hi Mat, its all a little confusing, my MK11 has a stamped body number B 36723, 96 cars before yours apparently, but Heritage certificate claims it was built
21-29 Dec 1961 and shipped on 29 Dec to USA. Maybe Gio has the answer!

I attended a really great talk at Louisville at the MG worldwide....speaker referring to MGBs said there was no attempt to keep numbers sequentially aligned....I would expect the same for As.....bodies were painted the same color in batches
