Nanette Fabray, Tony Award winner and TV & movie star, owned a 1964 MGB for 35 years. I own it now.
I read recently that she died in February.

She was a real original, classy and kind. I am trying to keep the car that way too! You can see a picture of the car on this site.

There is more to the story but I will not bore everyone here.

Kent

My first LBC: 1969 MGB purchased in July 1977 and been infected ever since...

In reply to # 3717170 by JoeReed Steve Prefontaine sad smiley

From Wikki:
An annual track event, the Prefontaine Classic, has been held in his memory since 1975. Known as the "Hayward Field Restoration Meet" in its first two years, it was rebranded as the "Bowerman Classic" for 1975 and set for June 7. Two days after Prefontaine's death, it was renamed by the Oregon Track Club on June 1, with Bill Bowerman's approval, and the first "Pre Classic" was held six days later.

Would be bad taste to have an MG rallye at the college in June??

Doesn't count though - - it was a movie prop, he didn't own it.

If you ask him real nice-like, he might let you borrow it for a while - just point out to him that you DO already own a tiny piece of it.

I'd rather have Prince William's Aston Martin DB6 (formerly owned by daddy-o Charles and given to young Willy as a wedding gift, or so I'm told).
