It's an appliance not a museum piece

Who's version of right are we talking about? When you get 10 LBC owners in a room you'll get 12 different answers.

I shovel mine out once a year, does that count? Six years ago I bought my current B and it had 53K, it now needs 450 miles to cross over the 100k mark and it was under repair for a year. I also live in Scenic Downtown Northeastern Pa where winter and salt force me to put it away, really clean, for 3 months. No time for spit and polish in the summer. It's an MGB for God's sake, not a 356 Speedster. It is fun to drive but it will be another 50 years before it reaches trailer queen status

I try to keep it Cars and Coffee clean.

‘73 Blaze Red roadster. ANSA exhaust. Rick Ingram struts front & rear, Weber 32/36, Schlemmerized 1974 Lucas 25D points distributor with Pertronics Flame Thrower coil, Minator alloy wheels, I prefer Levi’s 514.

My MGB is like a former girlfriend:
Beautiful on the outside, a little broken on the inside...
...often topless

A nice layer of road grime helps hide imperfections in my diy paint job.

I keep mine spotless, it's not a daily driver. I had a daily driver in college 40 years ago and within 6 years it rotted apart. too much time, effort and $$ invested in this one. sunny day driver with the wife buzzing around the back roads of new england

the age old question...."you a racer or a waxer?" Keep mine presentable.....probably change when I repaint next year and I'll go off the cliff for a while!

1974-1/2 Roadster, "Bumble Bee", Corvette Yellow - in shambles, wire wheels
1976 Roadster, "Virus", Sandglow - "driver" condition (stock + 32/36 Weber DGEV, cast iron header, 25D distributor), bolt on wheels, ON the road!

Hard to keep a daily driver "clean" in Seattle in the winter. No road salt though, thank God.

I wash and detail mine twice a year whether it needs it or not.

Is this one of the sort of post that are designed to generate conversation and replies? Otherwise, I'm having a bit of a hard time making any sense of it.

I don’t wash them. I restore them. Washing a car offers no challenge and much like jerking-off, may leave a sense of well being, but in fact creates nothing new.
