The topic my brother started "It's Yellow", and the one about cheap tools, made me think of this. What makes you better?

Does more horsepower make you a better driver? Do Snap On tools make you a better mechanic? Does a $ 750 spray gun make you a better painter? The obvious answer is no.

As the old adage states "It's a poor carpenter that blames his tools".

So, what does make you better?

A competent advisor.

A good craftsman can use crappy tools and still do a professional job. Kind of like a good driver can get more out of a crappy car than a poor driver can get out of a good car.

Who's version of right are we talking about? When you get 10 LBC owners in a room you'll get 12 different answers.

Appropriate tools, not necessarily the best, but ones that will do the job.

I mean, Canada is about to make something as good as "Jim Beam" (or better) legal in July.

Seriously: "What makes you better?"

Answer should be: "Compassion" for ALL Sentient Beings".

I did have the most life-changing experience in 1996 when the Dalai Lama spent 15 minutes one on one with me, answering 3 of my questions. Having been in is presence, I know in my core he is far more than a mortal man.

He is the re-incarnation of "Chenrezi", the God of Compassion.
Compassion: The highest precept we all can live by.

Gary,

Good thing because you, and most Canadians, will need a whole lot of compassion once this rotten thing, much WORSE than Jim Beam, will be legal in July.
I will try to have compassion for all the legal 'Pot Heads' but I am not sure I will succeed.

I agree that compassion is important in society.

Practice....then more practice. There is no substitute for actually doing something. Instruction, youtube videos, forum advice, etc, are all helpful but nothing teaches you anything quicker than getting your hands dirty...
