I would like to convert my 1975 mgb to hs4 su carbs. has anyone come up with a way to get air to the rear carb or what type of air filter system do you use, not much room to put air filter.

Have a look at Moss's cold air intake kit.

Here are a couple of ideas that Moss sells for the application you want. Do you have a Moss catalog? K&N filters created especially for the application, the cold air box is supposed to work as well but I'd check with Moss first because in 1975 the motor mounts moved the carb a bit closer to the brake booster than later cars.

Yes. Or you could use these, pancake filters, again available from Moss.

Actually, it is a picture of the K&N filters installed on my 1978 MGB which has HS4 carbs. smiling smiley

Should work on your 1975 as well.

KN Filter #56-9320

I sourced them on Amazon.

If you plan to go with the K&N conical filters (56-9320), Amazon sells it for $81 each. Moss (222-985) sells theirs for $105 each.

In any debate, the side which strays from civil discussion is usually the side that lacks confidence in its debate position or in its ability to win the debate on the merit of their arguments. Making personal attacks on the opponents instead of staying on the subject is also a sign of weakness.

Anyone who always feels compelled to respond in kind to any perceived slight is often suffering from narcissism.

The Moss 223-065 air intake will clear the 1975 application. We didn't have a 1975 to originally test it so had to guess how much clearance to make and from MG Experience feedback it works.

The tapered K&N filters fit the 1976 onward cars well, but can rub with the 1975 depending on engine mount shimming, sagging etc.

Kelvin.
