I am a retired high school art teacher and illustrator. I was newsletter editor in the mid to late 1990s, president of the Houston MG Car Club for 2009-2010 and later the Events Coordinator. I am married with two grown sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law and two terrific grandsons. Ain't life wonderful.
I have had many British sports cars over the years, including two Austin-Healeys, one Sunbeam Alpine, one Triumph Spitfire, four MBGs and our first MGA. I am obviously a slow learner.
We recently sold our 1968 GT after doing a full restoration on her. We replaced her with a 1959 MGA roadster, code named Peabody. It is a good running car with little details to refine. Always something.
I went to England in 1994 with Gary Watson to film "Inside the Octagon". I had the pleasure of meeting John Thornley, Jean Kimber Cook and Wilkie Wilkinson among other MG figures. It was a once in a lifetime experience. My notes and memorabilia from the trip are now in the archives at Watkins Glen.

I know my MGB was registered as a 1963 and I believe that makes sense as no one would have registed a "new" MG as a 1962 if it was sold in 1963...the VIN # is G-HN3-L/1984...the date of build was 22-25 October, 1962 according to the British Motor ...
