I picked this up from a an acquaintance. He had given it to his nephew, and under condition that he repair it.
Nephew took the car in to a mechanic and got an astronomical number for the repairs. "come get your piece of shit" he told his Uncle.
I had run into my friend at a new job site and asked him how the MG was.?
Do you want it? 500 bucks! sit unseen I said yes. I met him one afternoon last fall and took a look at my new project. There was no rust on the body. it did have a dent on the roof where he had pushed it into a tent that also housed a canopy. I agreed to buy it and he threw in a new pair of Mini lite wheels and battery. the interior was ok, and seats were in decent shape.
the dash was cracked but I saw a huge potential in this little car. He helped me tow it to my place where the wet dark nights of Seattle are common.
I started by checking to see if it would turn over, it did! I realized that it was not getting fuel. The carburetors looked strange to me and so it began. /Users/oacarsanchezmendoza/Desktop/IMG_E0276.jpg
