Here in California we have some mighty hot days in the summer.........110-116 degrees F. My 1960 MGA is a driver and I wanted to make sure she never over heated again. I bypassed the heater and run a second radiator, made from a large 19 row oil cooler which I mount in the front apron area under the oil cooler (yes, I use an oil cooler too........the largest one I could find). I use a Moss aftermarket fan shroud, part # 459-645. Finally, I attached an aftermarket overflow reservoir "spit tank" to the radiator overflow line. The car has NEVER run hotter than normal ever since. Good Luck.
