I was hoping to start it for a second or so with easy start having first checked the fluids, maybe change the oil, shut off the petrol and cross everything . I was checking the distributor cap and it was split and flilthy, the clips were both corroded away, It was full of rust. Turns out just above the dizzy is the heater valve which had reacted in some way with something and filled itself up with hard crystalline and metal mix. Assume the anti freeze/2 metals had reacted, expanded and sheared the heater valve which then leaked into the dizzy. The 1/2inch hose into the heater was full of this hard stuff, which isnt water soluble so now, and so is the water way from the head, rock solid. I'm going to drain off the water and see how far this extends. Maybe have to take the head off. So much for a quick fire up to see how it goes.
