Lots of useful information on this website , a great resource !

Have a NOS ( new old stock Mowog MGA 1500 ) 4.3 : 1 crown wheel / pinion setup.

Also have the various parts for conversion ;

correct pinion flange & couple nuts
pinion oil seal
pinion head thrust washers

new pinion bearings
pinion bearing spacer
shim for above
new crownwheel bearings
gasket for axle halves

Original axle has been carefully dismantled & cleaned.

Was considering doing conversion ,& have read a lot about it ,have Cedarstrands book etc , but have lots of other work which I have to do.

Hence , think would prefer to pay someone else who is well experienced in doing this conversion properly.

Any recommendations of a competent person who could do this in UK ?

What would be a reasonable cost to set up the 4.3 cwp correctly ?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations / advice.

Try Roger Furneaux at "Mad Metrics" 01566 784111. Make sure you get a timescale. He is located in Broadwood Widger on Devon Cornwall border just off A30.

Managed to get hold of Roger , he said that it wasn't a job that he would do.

He helpfully suggested Hardy Engineering Transmissions Ltd ,Guilford .

Have made contact , it seems they have done a number of MGA to TD/TF conversions , guy I need to talk to is on holidays currently.

Anyone used them ?
