I'm putting new (rebuilt) Armstrong shocks on my '53 TD Armstrong and need to hear if I have to remove the wings/fenders to change out the fronts, or can I accomplish it with them on. It looks involved to remove the fenders so I would rather not but it looks pretty confined with them on. Anyone with experience with this? Thanks for the input.

First question is did the car have Armstrongs on it before? If not then the fenders may not have the required bump out that was pressed into the fenders after the production change from Girlings. Other than that they can be changed without removing the fender. Better access of course with them off.

Yes, I'm replacing Armstrongs with Armstrongs. I'll give it a try. Thanks
