Good afternoon.

My MG TD 1953 is missing the crank dog nut.

At moss it cost 50 sterling.

Does anyone knows if this coupling nut fits another car like mini or land rover?

The mini has a transverse engine and no facility for hand starting. Land rover? Unlikely, but look at the website of an early Land Rover parts supplier.

I think it might very well be a metric bolt since the XPAG is equipped that way.
I can't measure; mine is in its place on the engine.
If you find the right bolt you can have someone weld the crank-part on it (a short 3/4" pipe could be the start).

The dog bolt / starting handle nut is 5/8 Whit but 1 1/8" AF is a loose fit. The thread is 12 x 1.5mm, 7/8" long.

Reno - I'm sure I have an extra. Please send me your address.

Out of curiosity, what do you have there now?

I joined the octagon club recently, they do a large range and are non-profit making, just ordered a set of TD Pistons for £180, very helpful spares guy, Pete, as well.

To answer the curiosities. It is has a normal bolt instead of starting bolt.

It works but I think that the starting bolt is part of the karisma.
