Car was along side the semi-rural road (Leisure Town Road). Top down. Interior looked ok for a 45 yr old unit, body looked intact (no close examination). Looked like a 4 speed (5-speeds did not come for another 10 years or so IIRC).

Had been wanting 8800, ratcheted down to 58.

A negotiating deal for someone with the folding in their pocket (that's how to get the best deal, face to face, and lay down 50 100's and say that's it. They lick their lips, and grab. Bought many used cars that way over the years, from dealers too!

Also on CL, SF Bay Area. No link to post. But you can find it.

1973 Pale Primrose Roadster. A nice 10-footer!

Much under-rated car. Of course, condition is everything and support is much thinner. I would really like a Jensen GT

There is a one owner 74 J-H for sale here locally. Inspected and recommended by a club member. He is a XK-E owner himself. It's asking price is $9500. which given it's known history and apparent condition is probably fair. that Lotus engine would be expensive to rebuild.
