Drove by this a couple of times now. It's got me scratching my head. The size and shape had me thinking it was a mid 80's pontiac grand-am. But those don't have fins. I know that it'll be hard with the cover but I'd just like some ideas. I searched finned cars but all I got where the massive cars of the 50's

Only way to truly find out is to stop and ask the owner; most car owners will be more than willing to talk about what's under the tarp, well maybe not everybody. There's a "blue tarp car" about 15 mins away from me and I first stopped by a few decades ago and inquired about it. The owner basically told me to go away and he wouldn't even disclose the make/model. Fast forward a decade or so and I stopped by again; owner tells me to get off his property (don't think he recognized me from my earlier visit). Last time I stopped there was 2012. Original owner was not around, but the son (I assumed it was his son) was no more more friendly than the father; still don't know what the car is, but it has the shape of a Morgan/TD/etc. After 25 +years its still there, sitting under that blue tarp. I expect by now that the tarp is the only thing holding the car together;

The only thing that comes to mind is one of the later Cortina's.

My guess is a Peugeot 404. Ask and let us know!

Edit: Around a '62 or '63, 4dr.

I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones. John Cage

The back roofline suggests Merc something. Mind you, nothing else does.

The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

To the intelligent person, life appears infinitely mysterious, but the stupid have an answer for everything.

Day Dreamers, don't discourage them. That's where original thought comes from.

Managed to swing by the car today. Didn't have to stop wind had blown the cover off. JR gets the cookie it's a Herald. Looks the be in at least decent shape either a well cared for original or an older restoreation. I haven't seen anyone at the house to ask about it.
