Not sure whether anyone saw the C in last night's episode on Quest, but did the car actually sell in the end? I may have missed that bit when I went to make a cuppa.

Morning Simon. They didn't say anything about the sale. Only covered the sale of the BMW 635.

Its been up on sites , so not sure if it was them selling via a unknown. Unless you know exactly what they did it seems a risk, like all of us find out a paint job can hide a lot. Like the interior though, seats nice but some parts of lining poor. £4k well yes thats what it will cost.

It's still available for sale. Perhaps they're asking too much? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1064824

It's also for sale on Autotrader: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201812183339626

This car has non original colour, seats, centre console, carpets, door cards and probably a few other things I've missed. But lets put on a set of sh***y old Pirellis on, which is probably one of the things they should of updated.

However......... if they knocked a few grand off the price, and I had the money, (unlikely), I wouldn't mind owning it. It is after all easy enough to fit another set of tyres!!!devil smiley

they paid 13k for the car and said they needed to spend 9k on it. 22k. make them an offer, you never know they might take their money back. think that's all its worth.

Did you see the bit they filmed before they 'restored' it though? Looked like it had been in an explosion in the MG Owner's Club shop! Every bit of tasteless tat that they could throw at it!!

Its completely overpriced by about £10k!!. Just have a look at the cars on the Former Glory web site. How about a Downton car which was also a previous concours winner for £26k and others nearer the standard of the Salvage Hunters at around £20k?
