In reply to # 2950685 by ski.dive As we all know, our MGB's did not come with cup holders.

What creative ideas have you all come up with to have a cup holder?

Post ideas and pictures of your MGB cup holder.

I make several different cup holders for vintage cars including the MGB/MGC, Midget and others. The old Mustangs and 356 are my favorite.
The Two MG holders are mounted to the seat adjustment rail and the other mounts to the underside of the steel dash. Both are effective and elegant.
Moss sells the seat rail mounted holder.

I love the James Bond episode where Bond and Q are looking at a two-seater BMW, and Q says, "It has SIX bevridge cup holders."

I have owned a stainless boat tankard from West Marine. Cannot find a picture.

However this one is similar

Cabela's Wide-Bottom Mug

Holds 16oz. Virtually impossible to spill. Can be put on the passengers floor or seat.

We used these in our sailboat for 25 years.

West marine has dozens of devices that would work.

I have three of these mugs. The best in a B.

Not on an MGB but close enough. Map pocket removed. The only problem is, my drink tends to loose it's cool quickly if the heater is on.

There are a lot of good ideas...and if it works for you then that is what it is all about.....but it would drive me insane in the end to have to reach around..over or through to use a switch or activate something...with my nature and potential state of mind ,i would crack it and rip it out and throw it out the car...lolololol

To me it is like having a hall way in the house and someone puts a hall table half way down and reducing the access..lololol...yeh i know...pedantic....like i said..if it works then cool..

10-4 I heard in Germany if you get caught Eating or Drinking while driving it is an automatic loss of license. I also think for the European market, cars are NOT sold by how many CUP holders come in.it. THESE ARE GOOD LAWS. We need this here.

In reply to # 2950919 by Dans77B Can you Americans not go 5 minutes without shoving something in your mouth? I only ever eat/drink in the car when its stationary, in that case the centre console makes an excellent table if you shove the gear lever back.
