Hi guys. I just wanted to share my excitement in buying another MGB. I purchased the 74 MGB that was for sale by Michael Thurman. I also have 67 B that I’ve had since 1985 and it will run ok but needs pretty much everything done including lots of rust repair.

The 74 runs and drives really well and has very little rust compared to my 67. I do have a few things I’ll want work on after I get rid of the rubber blocks hanging off the back bumper!

I suggest that you not simply discard those Sabrina over-riders. You can likely sell them on BS&T, especially if in good condition. You'll see that you cannot simply install the rubber insert over-riders and the rear bumper is unique for that few month period.

First, welcome.

Second, because we are all nothing more than short term caretakers of these cars, I would recommend that you keep those "Sabrinas" after you remove them. The next owner, or the one after that, may actually want them.

Wow, Andy ---

Were you rear-ended by a Semi ? ? ?

Just kidding, my Apollo was "born" a Sabrina - PO graciously deleted, see my pics.

Enjoy your new toy ! ! !

1968 MGB Purchased already dis-assembled but which is largely back together so I'm a lot less ignorant.

Looked at "athena" and "apollo" I like both looks but really like the look of no over riders and clear turn lenses.

Usually when I've been playing/tinkering on the 67 and had questions or thoughts.. I like the idea of adding relays and upgrading the blower fan. I used to drive mine in the winter and it was colder than all get out. Drove the 74 home this morning in 17 degree temps and had no heat.. I'm pretty certain the heater valve is plugged up. I used my infrared thermometer and the head was warm but the hose coming out of the valve was about 60 degrees.

This is an awesome forum btw.

Yeah. I like a "clean" rear end myself!

I like the look of that also, however, my rear overriders DID save some damage to the rear lights and surrounds a little while back from an inattentive SUV driver at stop lights.

The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

To the intelligent person, life appears infinitely mysterious, but the stupid have an answer for everything.

Day Dreamers, don't discourage them. That's where original thought comes from.
