I installed one on my B, but I can't say whether or not it has been effective because I never drove an MG before without one. I simply wanted to insure a cooler interior when I rebuilt the car.

Having said that, my car uses a stock replacement (2 muffler) system, and I had to cut & bend the unit to fit better under the car.

I have no complaints, and am happy with the product.

In reply to # 3907738 by dohc281 If you have the muffler under the driver then removing it and replacing it with pipe would increase your ground clearance, increase your exhaust sound and decrease the heat in that area.

Ground clearance is why mine had to go. The rest is just gravy. smiling smiley
