If your knurled nut that retains the tachometer drive is tight, or for snugging it up, use a faucet wrench. You can wrap some tape around the knurling as to not chew it up. Not bad access with manifold and carbs off, but a bit hard to get to with those in place.

When dismounting the clutch slave cylinder for any length of time, the piston will travel down the bore with spring pressure and could lose its seal. To avoid this, wrap a couple big zip ties around it in an X pattern to hold the piston in. Did this after pulling the engine and trans for a T9 conversion. Clipped the zip ties and reinstalled after 6 weeks and had immediate pedal without having to bleed the thing.

By far the best short cut is to buy a Toyota.. you'll then free up more time to spend quaffing Ale at the Pub, hiding out with mistcreants Smoking weed or whatever other meaningful pursuit rocks your boat...saves a bundle on that pummice based hand cleaner and hard brush to keep the impervious black stuff out from under finger nails too..

I stumbled on a paint color database, that offers no-kidding paint codes. For MGs, see
