Is there a logical way to insert a new rubber/felt strip into this window channel. I have tried twice and cannot get the top of the new strip up far enough. And do I have to use some type of adhesive to hold it in or will the pressure of the window do it.

Are there any easy jobs on one of these buggers?

I slid mine in from the top down. Sprayed some wd-40 and used. a long flat screwdriver to ease it in place...
