That heim joint for the steering column should have been done from birth. I would guess the production costs would have been prohibitive for British Leyland though. I like it! The older I get, the closer I'm getting to the steering column. This is a right nice upgrade!

I agree this should've been part-and-parcel of the OEM design, but I'm sure you're right about why they didn't do it. I'm for sure going to this at some point, and will add it to the website as another DIY project. But first it's the blower and then EFI!
