I've been looking for an MGA Coupe for a while. Just got my interest re-energized with one on eBay.

Originality never important to me. Just don't want a rust bucket or even a perfect showroom car.

But, must be running, licensed, and not in need of immediate repairs, and not insured by Haggertys (that should give you a hint about pricing).
I already have four project cars so I'm already tiptoeing the line in regards to family equanimity as well as garage space.

Thanks.

Wyatt ** has one for sale - listed on this forum.

I like the 911 - I drove a 1988 for 18 years - wish I kept it.

John

Also take a look at Wyatt's car. It is listed in the buy sell somewhere.

Thanks for the referrals.

ACTUALLY, the A-coupe that sparked my re-interest in a coupe was Martin's -- Forum member who bought it then realized the car was not for him.
I loved the idea of a B engine and the AC installation.
But, I just could not bring myself to the extra few ounces of gold that was the winning bid (actually, I was over my limit on my last bid -- and I astomish myself that I had such restraint not go go completely overboard, as I am wont to do....)

I truly am wanting something that hovers around the $10,000 mark, and am willing to go up a few thou for a car THAT DOES NOT NEED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION, but can be driven daily.
Did I stress the idea about "no repairs necessary"? --- Yah, I have a few too many cars that "...just need this or that" to make them roadworthy.
Of course, "this or that" just can't be accomplished because there is a lineup of several dozen other "this or that's" that have priority.

I missed out on a coupe on BaT for $14K within the last 2 months.

There's a coupe listed on this site......go to "Shop" in the header.......then "Cars for Sale" and then filter down to MGA.

Nick,
thanks for the info how to search -- never saw that "Shop".
I contacted the $4500 car, but not with high hopes in re. to amount of repairs needed.
The other $18K car -- yes, perfect, BUT... budget... Will make a feeble offer, though.

Nick,
Thanks for the research.
Door #1 - nope, no more projects!
Door #2 - wow; good to know what $17K will buy! Should be able to find what I want in my (lower) price range!

You ought to step up your game to a Fiat 850 Spider. I know a guy with one for sale

Remember them well. What year, original design or the follow-up?
