This was a relatively complete car when I bought it. It came with some parts that were acquired by the previous owners most notably a complete rear glass set that I will keep as a spare. Plans are to do a complete restoration and bring it back to its original specs (i.e. paint color and interior trim) with a few upgrades.

June 2, 2017 - After four years of hard work, the restoration is finished. This has been a fun and sometimes frustrating experience but I am pleased with the results. I have taken this car through a ground-up restoration over the last 4 years restoring it to its original Mineral Blue color with gray carpet and trim. Mineral Blue was a Coupe-only color for 1500 MGA Coupes. It left the factory fitted with wire wheels, a heater, an adjustable steering column, whitewall tires, and a windscreen washer.
The records I received when I purchased this car indicate that it has not been registered for the road for 45 years (1972). I have restored this car to keep its appearance as close to original as possible but have made some upgrades to make it safer and more drivable on today’s modern highways. Upgrades include front disc brake conversion, sway bar, 3-main 1800 engine, 5-speed, aluminum radiator and LED brake lights. I've also added fog lights and a badge bar. The wire wheels I chose are chrome rather than painted.

Thanks Gary! Light grey carpet and upholstery/trim except for the parcel shelf, top of the dash and the dash trim toll which are dark blue. This is the color combination it left the factory with. I hope to drive it to Louisville for MG2016 but if it's not ready, I'm going in my MGB. are you going?

That color combo will look great. You know I love the white walls! Hope to make it to Louisville if the back and hip hold out. The body on the C is holding up better than mine!!

I need to of the sun visor brackets. Not worried about making them. I purchased extra headliner material. My wife would kill me if only I had one. I'm from Long Island and my first MGA was purchased from someone in queens in the mid to late 70's . They had a large yard filled with MG etc. I think it was by LaQuardia airport if I remember correct. Could that be where you purchased your Coupe?

Jim We spoke before and I'm hoping your the person who turned me onto someone who you got one sun visor bracket from. I spoke to them and they were going to the UK and would bring some back. I misplaced their telephone number. By chance do you have that number.?

Wow! Beautifully done. Having the picture of the car on the trailer brings home how much work you did.

Just finished the body of my 1958 MGA Coupe Mineral Blue Still need to swap out the transmission since my downshift syncro isn't any good plus a few glitches with the led tail lights .
