This 1960 MGA,. Mark I? Itâ€™s a 1600 (chrome marking emblems and engine) with drum brakes in front. A mid year (first sold on registration in 1959) production? It is an original survivor, from father to son to me, has original CA plates/tags. Mostly original, including original paint, still looks and shines great. The only significant and biggest chip, is the size of a quarter coin, on the door. It Looks and runs excellent for its age. Has new: top, new side windows, and only 50 miles on new steel belted matching tires, and a new heater box. For the new owner to do, install wiper motor, I have a used one, but it hasnâ€™t been tested or installed. I never drive in the rain. I have a new fuel level tank float device and gauge if needed, might be ground problem. Iâ€™m working on it. Otherwise everything else; all lights, gauges and controls are functional.
The car is a California native and has been kept indoors and under cover all its existence, shows 11,688 on odometer, canâ€™t verify. There is not a sign of the slightest rust anywhere (except for a topical spot, the size of a quarter coin on the front bumper). I have been told, by fellow MGA owners that this car is in the best condition, for an original, they have ever seen. No dings or dents. Pictures of the under carriage would be of an original floor and clean frame. The interior is mostly original, no rips or tears on the carpets or on the beautiful high quality fabric seats, no marks or missing parts on the dash.
