Registry: 1962 MG MGA MkII

I guess I dared myself to restore this car. I can't think of any other excuse. The front end damage happened in 1971. The car has not been driven since. I have all the paperwork on this car starting with the certificate of origin. The original engine was ruined due to water freezing in the cylinders. Drive train is from an early 66 B. An MGA transmission rear casing and drive shaft were installed to make it all bolt in. I finished the body work and paint in August 2008. A month later, a tree completely demolished my 24' x 36' garage. Luckily, the A was in the corner and only suffered a couple of small dents. The restoration was finished in June of 2009. It's a blast to drive. Is there anyone else out there crazy enough to put a subwoofer in the trunk of their MGA?

Wow Stan. Thats about the only statement that comes to mind. Very nice. I cannot imagine the time and patience let alone the cash it took for this project.

Is that the same car as the one buried in the brush? Seriously is that what you started with? Would love to see more pics of the before and during. Beautiful car! Love that shade of blue!

Great car Stan...if the first picture under the brush is the same car, then you did an AMAZING job! Call me crazy too, but I'd put the subwoofer in... I actually may do the same with mine!

What did you do with all the room !! We have a 73 Midget with half the space and we
have a 1000 watt stereo in it ! 2 Kenwood 6x9 5 way's in the rear, Kicker 10CVT654
marine grade sub woofer, Infinity reference amp , 2 Focal tweeters in the door's and
two 4" front speakers in above the radio. SOUNDS AMAZING AT 70MPH TOP DOWN !!!
