ALL REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED

For Parts or Restoration

1977 MGB with "Electronic OverDrive"

83,434 miles

Looking for a new home for my 77 "B" this auto is really a nice car. So with a little TLC, this MGB can be as it was! You can see it just about anytime, so please call or email for a viewing, I will consider all reasonable offers. I would rather find a home for its restoration! So just stop by to see what we can do and maybe get yourself a nice project car. Questions are always encouraged just write or call.

My MGB has been sitting for 3 years on my blacktop driveway and really needs a new home. Always wanted to get it back on the road, but life just hasn't given me the time. It has started to rust, and in other small areas has started to break through, as seen in photos. Also as shown the tops needs to be replaced. The top holds fine even though the plastic window has given way, being covered. Painted wheels, door jams and truck are all still looking great! Floorboards, trunk area are solid, door jams, and trunk jams in fine shape. The body needs a good cleaning and some metal work, please avoid using body filler.

Inside is in good shape for a 1977, needs some work to get it back to mint. But the gauges all work even the clock! It needs both horn and directional control arms replaced. The interior was tan, I painted the panels, trim and headrests with upholstery paint and covered the seats with black covers; just liked the black interior look better. It has held up great for these many years but need to be redone or replaced, they are in fine shape. The dashboard is in great shape and so is the windshield. Rugs are in good shape; also have the tops half cover, with bars, original jack tech manual and a parts manual.

The original block/head was replaced, had the original parts placed back on it. I had started through last winter and moved it around. But when the alternator died I only started it a few times. Also the water pump bracket for the alternator broke, so the water pump will need to be replaced or repaired. I haven’t started it since last year and the brake pedal now goes to the floor. I original had to replace the rear wheel cylinders they leaked, assuming the same has happened again. It cranks no problem, it will start because it always has, maybe a fuel change or fuel pump contact cleaning.

Some work is needed to bring this 1977 MGB back to its prior condition! But I know it is worth every dollar and I would hate to see this car parted out. But you can be assured that the parts are in good shape and very usable. Remember the greatest thing about this 'B' is that it has the Electronic Overdrive, there is nothing like it! Just this alone makes it the best model for your Restoration Project! As said this MG needs a little TLC and am selling this car for parts or restoration. So please call me for more information, ask any question you may have or make a Reasonable Offer! I Thank Those That Have.
