"Bedouin 2"

40 years after taking delivery of the rare color Bedouin 1971 MGB ordered while in Vietnam at the ripe old age of 20,I happened upon this nearly mint example alongside a fellow MG club members garage. Several Mg's of all models have come and gone,it appears this one wanted to come back again.
The original Bedouin was ordered via the Navy PX and built in the spring of 1971 and delivered by boat from England to the port of Seattle where we waited out the longshoremen's strike of 1971 watching the ship that had our MG sit out off shore for months.President Nixon stepped in and ordered an 80 day cooling off period and the MGB was allowed to come ashore.Car cleared customs and took delivery.Picked it up on a Friday morning in November of 1971 and took it into the dealer for the free 1000 mile courtesy check up the following week. Only time it ever saw the inside of the dealer shop.
"Bedouin 2" was also built in the same time frame,wonder what its history would reveal?

Future plans an LX9 240 H.P. GM3500 V6/T5 5 speed conversion
Full strip down and Re-paint (keeping the BLVC4 Bedouin color of course)
