Nice job David. I would have bought it from you if it was returned to it's original "as built". But still, you did a hell of job on this GT! Al

Thanks Al. I think the older dash is much prettier. Just a style choice. Glad you like the rest of the car. It was a retirement project and I have my eye on the next car.

David - is this a correct overdrive transmission? Or a 5spd conversion?Shifter assembly and transmission tunnel look like it's not a correct overdrive tranny - but it could just be my eye. Please advise.Looks like a sharp resto!

This is a proper overdrive unit for the MGB transmission. The switch on the mid-year cars is a toggle on the dash. I think the later cars may have had them on the shift knob. We did a thorough restoration with the significant modification of putting in a 1967 steel dash replacing the padded dash that was installed on US spec cars in 1968. It does retain the dual master cylinder which is an added safety feature.

Thanks Mike. It was a lot of work but I think it turned out pretty nice. We have purchased an MGA so we need room in the garage.

Yes Richard, it is still available. Would be happy to discuss it with you. Ironically we just bought an MGA and need the space in the garage! Might have worked out a swap if we had connected earlier. Ha.

Do you have additional pictures? Chassis pictures would be helpful. How long ago was the engine rebuilt? What is your zip code? My e mail is dpg171@aol.com

David, Still interested and got shipping quotes this morning. Would still like more pictures including chassis. On one of your pictures it shows the hood not yet installed and the grill on. Spaces there so I'm assuming the grill was just placed there for picture purposes. Can you e mail me at dpg171@aol.com I want to throw an offer at you. Yes my MGA was sold yesterday.
