I think:
Wide whitewalls - 50ies
Narrow whtilewalls - 60ies?
Very few UK cars had whitewalls.. it's a US flavour, right?

In reply to # 2400829 by mgbanthony Funny that iris blue car doesn't have wide white walls. any idea what year it is?

Pretty early....'63, according to the article.

Hmmmm...the whitewall in the photo is the same width as the one on the Dunlop C41 Gold Seal that was the OE spare in my iris 62. Wonder where this fetish for wide whitewalls comes from on early Bs today?

I got these pics from a former owner of one of my Cortinas. The folks in these pics are the aunt and uncle of his significant other.

Her uncle, Colonel Charles "Huey" Long was a career military man. It is believed that he was second in command at Fort Ord, and was in Korea and Vietnam. He bought the MGB new in France in ’66, and these pics were taken in the following months.

Note the car was LHD, but a couple of the slides are flipped.

Here are a couple of old pics of my recently acquired 67B when it was in New Zealand:

Ready to go on navigation trials around Pukekohe 1976:

Car being judged in the concours judging category at Taupon 1975:

It also apparently also spent some time in a museum or something as well:
