I noticed that a few people from the MGE are attending the Cape Cod British Car Club's British Legends Weekend on Cape Cod, MA on October 5 - 7, 2012. Last I looked, Barry (hump2), Joe (jsabatino), James (jatbw4), Perry (parsprite), and myself, Rick (oldredsel) have all preregistered. Anyone else?

I'll don't think I can make the Friday night Meet & Greet, but hope to be there in the morning for the Saturday's Cape Cod Seaside & Back Roads Tour. And I'll drive down again on Sunday for the Car Show at the Railroad Bridge Park in Buzzards Bay, Bourne, MA.

Both Friday's meet & greet, and Saturday's driving tour are FREE. Sunday's show is $20 to enter ($25 on the day of the show) and no charge for spectators. It's a nice show with well over 100 cars on the field in 25 classes, the usual 50/50 raffle, prize raffles, rocker box races, and usually a few British parts vendors.

If anyone else wants coming from the west wants to meet up (breakfast?) to drive down on Saturday and/or Sunday morning post here, or drop me a pm/email! We can take the highway or if we have time, I can show you some pretty nice back roads!

Hi Larry,

I'm open for the start time. Saturday's driving tour is "meet in Falmouth at 9:00am and leave there at 10:00am". . . so I would say leaving no later than 8:00am from the Faunce Corner Road Dunkin' Donuts in Dartmouth, MA, earlier if we want to do the back roads there.

The weather forecast is looking a little better for the Saturday drive, 71 degrees with just a 30 percent chance of a showers late in the day. Just got this update with a partial itinerary:

Saturday BLW Back Roads Tour


The weather seems to be just perfect for top down driving and the run this Saturday already has more than 25 cars registered and over 40 members and guests booked for lunch. The second run which ends with a dinner stop already has about 20 people planning to join us.

If you are planning to partake in either the AM or PM runs and you have not signed up, please send me an email so I can confirm our reservations. You can contact me via mdaley3333@comcast.net.

If you spend the entire day on this trip, you will visit 12 of the 15 towns on Cape Cod. You will also get a good look at the island of Marthas Vineyard across the sound. . .

The morning run is about 67 miles long and will consume about 3 hours not counting the lunch. It leaves Falmouth from Green Harbor Motel at 10:00 AM. We will stop in West Barnstable at the Exit 6 rest area on Route 6 (Mid Cape Highway and Route 132) at 11:00 AM. Several will join us there.

We focus on the north side in the morning. You can also meet us when we gather up at Grey's Beach in Yarmouthport or Rock Harbor in Orleans. Lunch is at the Bookstore Resturant in Wellfleet at 1:00 PM.

We should be mobile again by 2:30. The second run is a bit longer as it nears 80 miles and gets us to dinner at Wicked in Mashpee at 6:00 PM.

The afternoon return trip focuses on the south side of the cape. We will view several lighthouses on this portion of the run. We will also hit a beach, visit Hyannis and look in on the Kennedy's during the trip back to Falmouth.

Planning on going on the sat ride. I know it's late but I should be at your meeting place by 8 am. Kyle is going but will be driving with me
