British Invasion #1

Hi All

As usual, we are heading up for the British Invasion in Stowe, VT. next Wednesday.
At this point five of us are scheduled to leave Fitchburg, MA at 9:30am on 12 north.
We will stop in Winchendon to pick up a sixth car.
I'm sending this note just so if there are any others that want to join the frey.
Your more than welcome.......strength in numbers.
We alter the exact route, this weekend. We're always trying new roads!
But as it stands right now.

12 north out of Fitchburg
Stop at Winchendon MacDonald's to meet up with Mo
Continue on 12 north into NH until 12A, just outside of Claremont, NH
Cross over the river into VT and take 12 to Barnard.
The take 107 over to 100 north.
Take 100 the rest of the way into Stowe.

One of these days I'll take 100 from the Mass border, all the way up.

Hey Guys,

If anyone else is travelling to Stowe on Thursday, we're planning on going via a similar route.

Our route from the MA Southcoast to Fitchburg is still in flux, but the plan out of the 'burg is:

RT 12 into NH, crossing into VT at Bellows Falls. Then RT 5 to Rockingham, where we'll take RT 103 to Ludlow, then RT 100 all the way to Stowe.

Hey Rick
That's the exact route we used to take, until last year.
The storm damage made sure of that.
We would stop at the Miss Bellows Falls diner for a break and photo op.

Yep we'll definitely get together, in Stowe!

We're in Stowe now. (And on the deck with a couple of Coronas. smileys with beer

)

Great drive! I found RT100 to be a blast! thumbs up

A few rough sections between Granville and Waitsfield, but nothing that would cause me to avoid it in the future. Some new pavement and replaced bridges along the route due to last year's hurricane. (The damage is still evident in some areas. eye popping smiley

)

We had a blast going up rte-100!
Tomorrow we're heading up to lake Willoughby, but we'll be back in town about 3:00 for the reception.
