Hi Gil,

I just signed on as a member. Welcome to the March 31st April Fool's Bash at Lake Tansi. Looks like we will have good representation from clubs in central TN. Nashville has checked in & will be bring a number of cars, as well as Blunt & the Knoxville gang.

Added item - we will have a sell & swap area set up for your use. Please tag each item with appropriate info AND your cell phone number. That way others can contact you at the bash & you can get together.

British V8 and modified British Cars are encouraged to attend our yearly meet in Palestine Tx thi year on May 20-24,2012. The location of these meets are are changed yearly also. Next one to be in Omaha, Ne. 2013. Come join us. Several participants plan to link up at the Best Western ,Shreveport La. on the 19th for a warm-up and caravan to Palestine on the 20th. devil smiley

I have 2 MG's, one is a 1961 MGA Mini Midget Roadster and the other is a 1969 MGB with a hard top and a convertable top. I am looking for a club in the River Valley or the Northwest part of Arkansas. The Southeastern or the Northeastern part of Oklahoma is ok as we live on the line of both states. Thanks

NW Arkansas club is called British Iron Club. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at Carino's restaurant in Rogers. We also have a social night the fourth Friday of each month at a place we call the Brit Stop/shop just East of downtown Rogers. The website is http://www.britishironnwa.org. Road trip Houston,TX to St. Joseph, IL Aug 10th - Aug 12th Looking for members along the way.
I started attending the British V8 annual meets in Durham, NC in 2009 (I think it was that year).
I was curious about buying or building a second MG. I had driven my mostly stock tourer to two national meets and wanted a GT with AirCon for the long distance road trips. Getting to know these guys helped me learn enough to acquire a car that has taken me cross country along with several lesser trips of 1000 miles or more each way, Total of 36,000 miles in the V6 BGT in 2 and a 1/2 years. I still drive the tourer 5-6000 miles a year also during spring fall and winter.

While in Palestine, Texas for the British V8 meet inn May 2012 I volunteered to drive the Roadmaster MGBGT if the BADASS group needed this beauty of engineering and execution delivered from one city to another. So I'll be driving it from Houston, TX to St. Joseph, Il Aug. 9th thru Aug.12. I'm expecting a hot drive. If anyone wants to see the car, meet me for lunch or offer overnight accommodations just send me a PM or call: 336-462-1147 PJ Lenihan.
BTW The BritishAmericanDeviantAutomotiveSportscarSociety is a non profit group of gear heads who have jointly built this car just to see if they could and the car is on tour for the next year or two before being auctioned off as a charity fund raiser. For more details about this car go to:
